Process Maturity is assessed by looking into: Process, Measures, Storage, Analysis, Reporting and Feedback.
• Mapping the ‘As-is’ and ‘To-be’ process.
• Use a Capability Maturity Model (CMM) like the Process Maturity Assessment Model.
It has 5 levels:
– Initial (assess whether process is adhoc, chaotic or few processes defined).
– Repeatable (have basic processes & assess whether there is some level of discipline to stick to the processes).
– Defined (assess whether ALL processes are defined, documented, standardized and integrated with each other).
– Managed (Processes are measured by collecting detailed data on the processes & their quality).
